Foundation of God's Covenant

He comes to kill, to steal and to destroy. The devil goes around like a roaring lion seeking who he may devour. The weapons of satan are deception, violence, intimidation, death and destruction. 

But the Lord's weapon is love. Because of His love, He sent His Son to die for us so that those who believed in Him will not perish but have eternal life. Let love rule your heart. It is the mightier weapon. Nothing can separate us from this love.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.[Romans 8: 38 - 40].


13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. [1 Corinthians 13: 1- 13]


And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.[Ephesians 3: 17 - 19].

Who can comprehend the love that would cause one to sacrifice His one and only Son for the sake of another? What measure of love is this? What would you do if, after such horrendous sacrifice, the one on whose behalf the sacrifice was made, spat on it and rejected it?

If you were God, El Shaddai,  the All Mighty and All Powerful God, how would you respond to such contempt and disdain? Was the holy, pure and perfect blood of Christ poured out in vain? Was His terrible and horrendous suffering at the cross for nothing? Was His pain futile? Have we rejected the offer of salvation from the guarantee of death than awaits us? Can we grasp eternity in unending fire? 

I tremble to imagine and conceive of this  endless conclusion to "life."  To envision this eternal death is almost an impossibility yet any moment it may befall us because we delayed to accept the offer of Life. We delayed to accept this Perfect Sacrifice.  Instead of falling on our knees in repentance, we dilly dallied. We sought intellectual pleasures of 21st century philosophical past times instead of seeking the voice of the King of Life. We stood as though equal to the Creator lacking understanding that He is Sovereign. No court or jury directs His decisions or offers Him counsel. 

His covenants are established in love. We must reciprocate in love or perish. If love then obedience. If obedience, then perfection. If perfection then holiness. Do not wait. There is no time. Can you not hear the sound of His coming? Do not perish with the foolish. Instead, act will speed and precision to seize the moment of your salvation.

May the Holy one of Israel be with you.
